Sidoksia is a two-screen film installation commissioned by the Design Museum in Helsinki for the exhibition Maija Lavonen – Quietly Monumental.

Maija Lavonen (1931–2023) was a pioneering figure in Finnish textile art, elevating textiles as a medium and expanding it into spatial works of art. 

The film installation attempts to convey the connection between her art and the Finnish nature that inspired it.
